Availability and Licensing:
All of our software
modules are listed under individual subcategories based on
their function. Our modules not only improve the
look and feel of your store, but significantly extend
the overall functionality of your MIVA Merchant shopping
cart system. We license the modules from Emporium Plus by
domain/mall. Hence, if you have 10 stores under a single
mall (merchant.mvc), our modules can be used under the single
domain license. No need to purchase multiple module licenses
for each of your stores under a single domain/mall. The
license is for one domain/mall and cannot be sold, transferred, or
re-distributed.

able to offer modules at lower prices and with a longer
track record of reliability than most other major module
suppliers. Our installed modules base (many of our
modules are installed in hundreds of stores from Merchant
version 1.x up to the latest compiled Merchant version) is
large which allows us to keep our prices lower than most.
Take a look at our modules, then look at others'. Compare
features that you need. Don't pay for features that you
won't use or which make your store more confusing to the
customer. Make sure you are buying from a store which

About Us: Emporium Plus creates and licenses plugin software modules for Miva Merchant, a
highly extensible eCommerce shopping cart application for the Internet. We
have been developing diverse web enabled applications using Mivascript
(prior Htmlscript) since 1996. Our involvement with MIVA Merchant can be
traced back to its introduction in 1998. We actively support MIVA Merchant
Versions 2.x, 3.x, 4.x and 5.x. MIVA, MIVA Engine, MIVA Empresa, MIVA Mia, MIVA Merchant,
Store Morph Technology and the
MIVA Corp. Blade logo are trademarks of MIVA Corporation. All other trademarks are the
property of their respective owners.
Software Compatibility: Almost all of our software modules are compatible with both the standard Miva Merchant and
OpenUI look and feel user interfaces. Of those few that are
OpenUI only, an experienced developer could likely integrate
the functional code into the mmui.mv if not using OpenUI. If your store uses the OpenUI,
our modules plug in without editing the standard Merchant mv files. If you
are using the MIVA Merchant look and feel, some modules require editing of
Merchant mv files. You should review our install documents
online to assess
installation difficulty. If you are unsure about editing mv files, contact
us before ordering. These modules are designed to function with the standard
database system that comes with MIVA Merchant. Not all of them have
been tested or certified to work with any other database replacement, e.g. mySQL
in Merchant 4.x. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of database compatibility.
Important note about MIVA Merchant 5.x modules. Our 5.x modules currently support the
default MIVASQL database configuration in MIVA Merchant 5.x. They may support MySQL if you are
NOT load balancing by placing the scripts on multiple servers and the databases on a single server.
As long as the scripts are on one server, the MySQL should work too. A couple highly respected
web hosts have commented on this issue.
It has been over two years since we built our first 5.x version module and have still not had a load
balancing problem reported using them. We have about 75 modules converted and are adding new ones
frequently. That said, if you are using Merchant 5.x
and your host is web.com, you will not be able to use our
5.x modules due to the way they configure permissions on their servers'
data directories. There are no known issues with the
hundreds of other hosts.

IMPORTANT: The module version you order is dependent upon the version of
Miva Merchant you are using. Check your current Merchant version by logging
into your admin. Substitutions due to the selection of an incorrect
version are done manually and can take up to three business days. You
may also incur an additional charge due to price differences between some
module versions.
