CATEGORIES IN BASKET SCREEN

This MIVA Merchant plugin module inserts the category name directly below the product name in the Basket (BASK) and Invoice (INVC) screens. When a product is in more than one category, the module displays all of them. Each category name is linked to the corresponding category list screen in the Basket Screen.

This module is licensed to one domain. It may be used in more than one store within the same domain without additional licensee fees.

The module can be used with both the Merchant (MMUI) look and feel and the OpenUI (oui) look and feel modules. If using the MMUI, a single line edit is required in the MMUI_DisplayBasket and UIModule_Invoice functions. If your Merchant version is 4.14-4.2x and you are using MMUI, you will need the mmui.mv source code and Mivascript compiler in order to make the edits. If you are using the OpenUI, the module plugs in without editing any mv files. If using page templates in Merchant 4.14-4.2x, the module has tokens which can be inserted into the template body to run its code. If using Merchant 5.x, the edit is made to the 'bask' and 'invc' page templates. See the install doc for more information.

In Merchant version 5.x the module also provides the url for the thumbnail image which can be displayed in the basket. The thumbnail display is not in the built-in basket display so this module provides that extra feature.

Also, in Merchant versions 4.14-4.2x and 5.x, the module creates a basket price sum variable which can optionally be displayed in the basket and invoice. This price variable combines the product's basket base price with its attribute prices so that you can show the sum total for the product and hide the individual attribute prices in the basket. You can see how this works by adding an item with variable attribute pricing to your basket. Read the remainder of this paragraph and then go to Addendum. Fill in the attributes, including checking the box for EZ Batch report, then add it to the basket. The EZ Batch adds to the base product price. When you view the basket contents you will see the amounts combined. If you want to see the amounts itemized, click the link in the footer of the basket screen called "Itemize Basket". For those who also want to have combined prices in the merchant and customer emails, you can use our Mail Manager module (Merchant versions 4.14 and newer) which has tokens for this purpose.
