| Title cards measure 14 inches wide by 11 inches high. They are printed on card stock. Originally (from 1915 to 1917 or so) almost all lobby sets were sets of nine. Each set had a title card, which was literally that, the title of the film in block letters, plus a few credits, but no art. Then around 1917 or 1918 or so the block title card was dropped and one of the regular scene cards had the title and credits added, becoming the title card of more recent times. Often the image on the title card was the same as the half sheet image. |
